Introduction of Nio ET 7:
The ET 7 is a recently unveiled work of art by the Chinese EV automaker NIO. The company is aiming to expand its lineup for consumers with this stylish sedan. It uncovered ET 7 on 9th January 2021 at the ‘Nio Day’. This model retains many design cues of the previous Nio concept cars. ET 7 has a lot to offer to its consumers other than the sleek design and electric drivetrain. The advanced sensor package inducted into its body makes it noteworthy and unique. However, Nio will launch this sedan in early 2022. Many experts believe that that it will be a direct competitor of the Model S of Tesla in China.

With the introduction of ET 7, Nio aims to disrupt the EV sedan market. Here are some salient features that make it such special:
1. Impressive design:
Nio ET 7 has a phenomenal wheelbase and width, making it spacious for all occupants sitting in the car. It has a sleek line pattern from front to rear. It has many lighting options, for example, It has a dual-beam LED light that reconciles well with double dash day time running lights and the sensational taillight. Its smart lighting interaction makes it look like a futuristic car. The doors of the ET 7 model has frameless windows. The doors automatically open when a user is about to enter so that the user can open the door. When the user is seated, the system manages to close the door with soft pull action.
2. Battery specifications:
Nio provides three battery options in this variant. These variants are as follows:
- A 70 kWh battery (New European Driving Cycle range of 500 km).
- A 100 kWh battery (New European Driving Cycle range of 700 km). It is a solid state battery.
- A 150 kWh solid-state battery (New European Driving Cycle range of 1000 km)
It comes available with two electric motors, one in the rear and the second in the front. These motors produced an output of 644 hp and 850 Nm. Although, Nio claimed that ET 7 is capable of accelerating 62 mph in a swift 3.9 seconds.
3. Nio Autonomous driving (NAD) system:
Aquilla is the autonomous driving system installed in the NIO ET7. It generates 8 gigabytes of data per second and this data is analyzed by an onboard computer, which is known as ‘Adam’. Aquilla uses 33 sensors which include eleven 8-megapixel high-definition cameras and a long-distance high-definition camera, five millimeters radars, 2 high-precision positioning units, a high-resolution LiDAR with a 500 m range. Hence, it has various sensors that made its autonomous driving better than its competitors. The 8 MP camera installed in this variant sees further with superior details. These cameras are high resolution which enables this model to be autonomous. The ultralong range LiDAR provides safety to the occupants. Consequently, The ultralong-range high-resolution LiDAR significantly improves the safety of the car by two levels.
