1. Design of EC 6:
The coupe shape of NIO EC 6 made it distinguishable from other models of NIO like ET 7, ES 8, and ES 6. It is the ‘Sportback’ version of NIO. It has a glass roof which is 2.1 m2 large. Among all its competitors, EC 6 has the largest panoramic sunroof. This sunroof protects the car from 85% heat and 99.5% ultraviolet rays. The travelers sitting in the car can enjoy the blue beautiful sky from its enormous sunroof. Besides this, the sunroof has assembled with laminated high strength tempered glass. While the exterior of this model is lavish, NIO made no compromise on its interior. The interior is made up of the Himalayan brown theme. 2. Battery:
NIO offered two powered trains in EC 6 model: a standard and performance option. The performance option has equipped with a 160 kW high-efficiency permanent magnet motor in the front and a 240 kW high-performance induction motor at the rear. These motors (160 kW+240 kW) are capable of accelerating the car from 0 to 100 acceleration in 4.7 seconds. The sporty version of EC 6 has furnished with two 160 kW. EC 6 has powered with a 100 kWh battery due to which it has an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) range of 615 km. Another exciting feature of this variant is that their batteries are swappable.
3. Autonomous Driving:
NIO EC 6 scans the road and makes adjustments 500 times per second. Simultaneously, the active air suspension senses and responds to dynamic road conditions. Due to this fact, the handling and ride become extremely comfortable. The ADAS system makes the autonomous drive of EC 6 relaxing and reassuring. The total NIO Pilot mileage of NIO users has surpassed 55 million kilometers. NIO Pilot supports more than 20 features that also include traffic mismanagement. NIO introduced the world’s first in-vehicle artificial intelligence system, ‘NOMI’ in this model. NOMI is an interactive personal assistant that is installed on the top of the dashboard. NIO designed NOMI in such a way that it can imitate a human’s voice.
